MARK WHITAKER has been working as a professional puppeteer and mask performer since 1989 when he started work on Button Moon with Playboard Puppets. Since then he has worked with companies including Norwich Puppet Theatre, Horse & Bamboo, Little Angel, Thingumajig Theatre, A Bird in the Hand Theatre and many more.

He has worked in Mainland Europe, Canada, Brazil and Mexico and has toured extensively in the UK.

 

His screen work includes films for 20th Century Fox, Universal Pictures, The Jim Henson Company and Lucasfilm Ltd. He has also worked on several commercial campaigns including the Argos Aliens and the Monster.com Monster.

As well as performing, Mark has led many puppetry workshops and has directed shows for several puppet companies. He also works with theatre companies as a puppet movement consultant.
